This is a really excellent, long-form guide by StoreMaven that looks at app store page tactics for the top 100 apps on both iOS and Google Play.
A few of my highlights:
- 26% of the top free apps on the App Store use video, versus 54% on Play
- Videos on Play have 2x watch rate relative to the App Store
- On iOS, 33% of users scroll through the image gallery (as the gallery is above the fold) whereas only 15% scroll though on Play.
