Volunteer With Tech for Campaigns

TFC is an organization bring "best-in-class talent and technology to political campaigns." Hundreds of campaigns want help with digital/acquisition marketing and they are looking for more paid marketers to volunteer 6-8 hrs a week to run (mostly FB) marketing for campaigns. The last project for this cycle will be staffed in a few weeks so sign up to volunteer soon if you are interested!

Tricky Ads From a Vitamin Company That Talks up Openness

The gist here is that Ritual has paid for content/posts on sites like PureWow and is using pull quotes from those articles in their paid ads on FB & IG. I understand the author's argument but it's totally impossible to police this sort of thing especially when the line between paid & editorial content continues to blur (including, notably, on New York Times owned properties like Wirecutter).

Firefox Will (Likely) Block All Third-Party Tracking by Default in Firefox 63

"In order to help give users the private web browsing experience they expect and deserve, Firefox will strip cookies and block storage access from third-party tracking content. We’ve already made this available for our Firefox Nightly users to try out, and will be running a shield study to test the experience with some of our beta users in September. We aim to bring this protection to all users in Firefox 65, and will continue to refine our approach to provide the strongest possible protection while preserving a smooth user experience."

I thought this was a good summary from ReTargeter's blog on what this means:
